Last Day
Early ReleaseTomorrow, June 4, is our last day of school. The final bell will ring at12:40. Parents, please remind your students that they need to leave campusimmediately and will not be allowed to re-enter the building. No backpacksare allowed on campus tomorrow. School Supply Kits
School supply kits for all grades will be available at scheduled pick-up onAug 14 and 15. The school supply kits contain most items you will need tostart school in the fall. There is no pre-order necessary—there will beplenty for all classes at scheduled pick-up.
Clip This Summer
Remember to continue to clip BoxTops, Campbell’s Labels, Nestle Pure LifeWater Labels this summer. Look for a label contest after school starts inthe fall. Thanks for taking the time to clip and save for Rice!

2008-2009 School Year Schedule pick-up:
Grade 6 - August 14 - Between 9:00 and 12:00
Grade 7 - August 14 - Between 1:00 and 4:00
Grade 8 - August 15 - Between 9:00 and 12:00
Watch for summer packets with information and forms. Counselors will return August 6 and will be enrolling new students August 7,8, and 10. An appointment is needed. All current 5th, 6th, and 7th gradersare already enrolled for next year.
Alternate Schedule Pick UpIf you are not able to attend the Schedule Pick Up as scheduled by thedistrict, Rice has added an additional schedule pick up date. Alternate Schedule Pick Up is August 21, between 9:00 & 11:00, in the Ricecafeteria. Students will be able to pick up their schedule, get theirlocker and combination, and find their classes and locker. They may alsoput items in their locker. Teachers will not be available at this time tomeet or talk with.
If you are not able to come to Schedule Pick Up on the Alternate SchedulePick Up, your child may pick up his or her schedule before school on thefirst day of school, August 25, in the cafeteria. Please email yourcounselor if you have any questions. August 25th is the first day of school for students.
